The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) provides
a number of transportation services for those traveling into
and through the University Park Campus. Frequent fare-free downtown/campus service is provided by the BLUE and
WHITE LOOPS and cross-campus service (via Curtin Road) is
provided by the RED and GREEN LINKS. Service is provided on
these routes to practically all points on campus and nearby
downtown State College.
Service to and from the surrounding area is provided by
CATA’s twenty-three additional CATABUS routes. These routes
connect the campus with outlying communities like Boalsburg,
Bellefonte, Pleasant Gap, etc., and with major shopping centers

The Daily Collegian
Published each weekday during the semester, this student-run newspaper is a source of world and local news, sports
information, student editorial opinion, and special-interest
stories. Breaking news stories and special promotions can
also be accessed online, via their website or through their
new mobile app. You can directly connect with The Daily
Collegian on Twitter (@DailyCollegian) and Facebook. The
Daily Collegian is available at many University Park campus
locations, including the HUB.
Newspaper Readership Program
The Penn State Student Newspaper Readership Program
provides students with daily newspapers and digital access to
the New York Times, USA TODAY, the Centre Daily Times, and
the Daily Collegian. Daily newspapers are available in vending
machines throughout campus at no additional charge with
a student id+ card. The program gives you access to reliable
sources for international, national, and local news and adds
value to your education.
