Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development
Pasquerilla Spiritual Center & Eisenhower Chapel
The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development provides a
venue and programs for the ethical, spiritual, and character
development of the University community. Penn State
supports the principle of religious freedom and believes
that religious practices, spiritual inquiry, and holistic
development have a place within University life. However,
Penn State endorses no particular religion or religious group,
and hosts an inclusive and diverse multi-faith community
open to all.
Center for Women Students
The Center for Women Students provides advocacy,
counseling, referrals, and resources to all students at Penn
State. Materials and programming are available on issues
including sexual assault/rape, relationship violence, sexual
harassment/stalking, healthy relationships, and body image.
Trained peer education—Peers Helping Reaffirm, Educate,
and Empower (PHREE), and Men Against Violence (MAV)
—always welcome new members who are interested in
educating fellow students.
LGBTQA Student Resource Center
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Ally
(LGBTQA) Student Resource Center provides education,
information, and advocacy services to individuals
representing diverse gender and sexual orientations
at Penn State. We strive to create and maintain safer
spaces for students and provide resources, intersectional
programming, and student support services such as
mentorship programs and discussion groups.
Multicultural Resource Center (MRC)
The MRC provides individual counseling and educational
services for undergraduate multicultural students. MRC
counselors work with students on a variety of issues involving
University policies and procedures, financial aid concerns,
tutoring referrals, strategies for academic success, and
assisting targets of bias motivated incidents to find quick
resolution and attain their educational goals.
Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity
The Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity serves as
a catalyst and advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Educational Equity’s vision is a community that is an inclusive
and welcoming environment for all.
Paul Robeson Cultural Center
The Paul Robeson Cultural Center is a unit within Student
Affairs which serves students in the development of character,
conscience, and social responsibility through fostering diversity,
multiculturalism, social justice, and inclusion.
Student Disability Resources (SDR)
The SDR provides a welcoming and inclusive campus
community for all students with disabilities. The SDR staff, in
collaboration with the wider University community, facilitates
equal access and opportunity for students with disabilities so
they can fully participate in all University-sponsored programs
and activities. Requests for reasonable accommodations and
services may include, but are not limited to: extended time for
tests, use of assistive or adaptive technology, sign language
interpreting, Computer Aided Real-Time (CART) captioning,
and accessible instructional materials. Contact SDR as soon as
possible for an intake appointment.
Penn State is a community of mutual respect and
