Penn State IT ensures students have the technology tools
necessary to make the most of their academic careers. Penn
State IT services include WebMail, IT service desks, as well
as access to audio/video production facilities through Media

Student Computing Labs
Student computing labs are available to use at various locations throughout campus. The lab machines come equipped
with many of the software titles required for classes and offer
both color and black-and-white printing capabilities.
Media & Technology Support Services
Media & Technology Support Services provides equipment
loans and technology services. Services for students include:
video and photo production, as well as equipment loans
(cameras, sound equipment, data projectors, video players,
and more) at no cost.
Software Penn State
Students can purchase the software they need from Software
@ Penn State at lower prices than they can at big box stores
or online competitors. Software options are added to the site
on a regular basis and requests for new software options
are always welcome. The Software Penn State website
also provides Microsoft Office to all students at no additional
cost. Students can download Microsoft Office by visiting the
Software Penn State website, clicking on “Shop Student
Software,” and searching Microsoft.
